Wish upon a star

Hello I was asked to be a Guest Designer over at the ...
NAUGHTY OR NICE challenge blog

The theme for this month is STARS and they said I could make a nice card or a naughty card or both. So I made both.

Here is my naughty card....  I refuse to STAR in your psychodrama.........

and the inside says......before Java ......... After Java, you betcha.

I die cut a star out of masking paper and used some TIM HOLTZ inks and started on the mask and and brushed the ink off to give a rainbow ray effect.

The Remember is part of one stamp and I just inked up the remember part. I refuse to star in your psychodrama is a stamp I have had in my stash for literally 15 years and have never used it before LOL it came in a grab bag I purchased with sight unseen and when I pulled it out and stamped it I laughed and though I will never use this, but alas here it is the STAR of the show!

And for the nice card... WISH UPON A STAR..

I inked up alcohol ink on foil paper and swirled it around in circles with some bright colors.

I inked up the stars with White pigment ink and stamped on the background.

I cut the foil card stock so the base of the card would create a white stripe on the side.
Hope you enJOYed

I would love to see what you create in the gallery over at the challenge so go create and have fun.

You're pretty amazing

This card is going to a friend of mine's daughter.. She just graduated college and is the first one in her family to do it. I used a white base for my card. On craft card stock I stamped in white pigment ink and clear embossed from the stamp set  TRUTH IS by CAS-UAL FRIDAYS STAMPS

I colored in the flowers with an INTENSE pencil (sea blue)

then I used glossy accents and let it dry over night

I stamped the sentiment in Maliblue by simon says stamp and then I inked it again in pigment white and stamped it off center to give it a little shadow look.

Hope you enJOYed

Won't you be my neighbor?

Won't you be my neighbor? LOL.. I have wood mounted stamps that I keep on shelves that when you walk into my stamp haven you see. This stamp freaks some of my family members out, others laugh.  I tell them that it is me watching you if your in my stamp room without permission....bwa ha ha!

I stamped on freckled paper in Versafine black ink. I love the freckled paper in this case because it kinda a makes it look like the outside of the house.

I stamped the sentiment in Coral Reef from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment is from them as well only I cut off the friend part and used a Lawn Fawn alphabet set to create the word neighbor.

At Less in More the challenge is home.. this is just a little twist

At TIME OUT CHALLENGES  then theme is inspired by words
Happy is the Bride that the Sun Shines on.
I took the word HAPPY and ran with it.

Hope you enJOYed

A beautiful day

I wanted a beautiful serene card for a friend to help her just relax. She is going through a hard time right now and I want her to be reminded to just take it one day at a time and breathe.

I found this bike stamp in $1.00 bin at Michaels (whoop whoop). The sentiment I have had for a while it is one of my favorites.

I stamped both in Distress Ink Tim Holtz  (gathered twigs)

I recently got some ZIG clean color real brush markers. I can't say enough about these markers. They live up to everything that everybody says about them. I used the brown to create a hill for the bike to sit on

I covered it with wink of stella.. look at that shine. After all a card needs a little bling right?

I want to link up to one layer simplicity challenge. This is my second entry for this challenge
ROUND AND ROUND two circles no more no less. I think this one is easy to see.

This was my first idea but my second entry.

Hope you enJOYed

My heart beats for you

I
have some Exciting news to share and frankly it makes my heart beat... fast.... excitingly fast. I was asked to be on the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Design Team. Which makes me a Happy Little Stamper :)

I made a card for the occasion. It is not a Christmas card, that starts in July,  but I am playing along with the sketch challenge  which is this little diddy.

And this is my card.

I used a stamp set from CAS-UAL FRIDAYS, and I must say I ordered some stamps from them and I literally got them in the mail 3 days later.. super fast service and one of those days was a Sunday. And I can't say enough about the way they stamp, so crisp and clean, and they have some fantastic choices.

So go on and make a creation using the sketch and enter it in. I'll see you over there! http://happylittlestampers.blogspot.com.au/search/label/Sketch%20Challenge

It's 5 o'clock somewhere

Hello, It's 5 o'clock somewhere. I love how this card turned out.. I only made it 5 times LOL I kept stamping the hands wrong. Each time I looked at it it was 12:25 and that is just not sunset time.

I used Tim Holtz stencil to create the sun rays with Distress Ink spiced marmalade and mustard seed which blended together creates that beautiful sunset look.

I then used versafine ink to stamp the clock and the hands (LOL) and the sentiment came out perfect.

It has a little bit of distress look to it to match the the stencil. After all sunsets are bright!

I want to link up this card to the Round and Round challenge where you need to circles no more no less. So my circles are the clock and then the little circle where the hands meet.

I want to link up to Color (sunset) week at Less is More. 5 O'clock is when the sunset begins right?

I want to link up to Vintage challenge at CAS-ology. What is more Vintage than time.

I want to link up to a Beach Ball is round and so is my clock and beach balls are bright and sunny

I want to link up to justusgirls word week SUMMER

Grab life by the beans

Summer lovin...had me a blast.... of coffee that is. Whether it is hot or cold coffee in the summertime is awesome! I decided to be apart of this bog hop cause...... sometimes you just got to "grab life by the beans"! I made this card with a die cut some stencils embossing powder and ink. I wanted a earth tone feel to it so it kinda resemble coffee stains.

I took a square piece of card and inked it with distress ink gather twigs and rusty hinge and made it blend, then I die cut the cup out of it. It technically is supposed to go the the other direction so I die cut it from the back facing up.

After die cutting the coffee cup I embossed it with a layer of liquid platinum embossing powder  because isn't that what coffee is LIQUID PLATINUM!

I layered a white piece of card stock behind it to make it pop against the background. I inked the steam and the sentiment and embossed it with the liquid platinum.

I used the same inks and and a circle stencil and it's like magic...

I love how this card turned out.

Hope you enJOYed.
